We're SALSA Approved, Again!

We're delighted to announce that we're SALSA Approved for another year, after a successful audit with a remarkable Zero actions raised.

SALSA — Safe and Local Supplier Approval — is a food safety certification scheme for food producers and suppliers. We demonstrate that we operate to standards that are recognised and accepted across the food industry, which exceed the minimum standards expected by authorities, and were audited every year.

The SALSA auditor visited Olives HQ in Dorset to inspect our production facilities and our quality & safety processes, looking for any improvement actions to be made. After a thorough inspection of our facilities and documentation she raised a remarkable Zero actions for improvement.

SALSA auditors inspect hundreds of food producers and suppliers each year, with apparently only a handful of audits raising zero actions for improvement. So we're very proud indeed!

The star of the show here at Olives HQ is Laura-May, who has worked with us for 12 years ever since leaving school. She began in production, working her way up to Production Manager and is now Technical Operations Manager, not only overseeing every aspect of our Operations and Production, but also the incredibly important Technical food safety side of the business.

It's that Technical side of the business that's earned us our flying colours with SALSA. Attention to detail in every aspect of our production processes, with food safety and quality at the centre of everything we do.
