Format

These are olives for a small bowl and a cold drink.

Grown around Castelvetrano in western Sicily, Nocellara del Belice olives are immediately recognisable. Vivid green, generously fleshed and softly buttery, with just enough salt from the brine. We hand grade and jar them in Dorset, keeping everything simple so the olive remains the star.

Serve them cool with ricotta, pecorino, salami and good bread. Their clean, fruity character also sits rather well beside roast peppers, ripe tomatoes, grilled fish or a dry martini.

They are useful in cooking too. Remove the stones, then tear the flesh into a tomato sauce, fold through warm potatoes with herbs or scatter over roast vegetables just before serving.

These are whole olives and contain stones.

Vegan, gluten free and seed oil free. 250g jar with 150g drained weight.
