These small red Pepperabica peppers are filled with feta and creamy cheeses. Each one gives way softly, first sweet and gently vinegary, then cool, tangy and savoury from the cheese.
Set them out with olives, cured meats and warm bread, or add a few to a generous lunch salad. They are particularly good beside grilled lamb or chicken, roast vegetables and spoonfuls of hummus.
They need very little attention. Drain them, place them in a small bowl and serve cool rather than fridge cold. They are also rather good eaten directly from the jar while assembling everything else.
