Ultimate Mushrooms on Toast Recipe

Sautéed mushrooms on garlic-rubbed sourdough, topped with parsley and grated parmesan.

Ingredients

  • Red onions, thinly sliced
  • Mushrooms, sliced
  • Garlic cloves, crushed
  • Olive oil for frying
  • OEA Salsa Porcini
  • Sourdough bread, toasted, drizzled with olive oil and rubbed with garlic
  • Fresh parsley, chopped
  • Parmesan, grated

Method

  1. Cook the onions and mushrooms
    Heat olive oil in a frying pan. Sauté the red onions until soft, then add the mushrooms and cook until tender and slightly golden.
  2. Add garlic and porcini flavour
    Add crushed garlic and OEA Salsa Porcini, cooking for another 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Prepare the toast
    Rub slices of toasted sourdough with garlic and drizzle with olive oil.
  4. Assemble the dish
    Pile the mushroom mixture onto the prepared toast.
