Porcini have a way of making a simple supper feel rather special.

Made for us in Liguria with porcini mushrooms, Extra Virgin Olive Oil and garlic, this is a smooth, deeply savoury sauce with the unmistakable woodland character of porcini.

Stir it through tagliatelle or pappardelle with a little pasta water. Spoon it into risotto or creamy polenta, serve it alongside steak or chicken, or spread it over garlic rubbed sourdough.

It is especially good in our Ultimate Mushrooms on Toast with Salsa Porcini, where it adds richness and depth to a pan of fresh mushrooms.
