Lilliput capers are among the smallest capers you will find. Their diminutive size gives them a delicate texture and a particularly concentrated flavour.
Scatter them over grilled fish, new potatoes or tomato salads. Stir a spoonful through warm butter with lemon and parsley, add them to pasta sauces or chop them into mayonnaise for sandwiches and cold chicken.
They are particularly good in our Salmon, Potato and Asparagus Salad, where their salty tang cuts through the richness of the fish. You can also add them to the braised fennel in our Mezzanotte Salmon recipe.
